Itinerary

  • Join us for a welcome dinner to meet your fellow adventurers! Meet us at our hotel in Flagstaff, where our team will spell out the plan for the weekend over a hot meal. Then it’s off to bed for you to get your beauty sleep for the trip ahead. We ride at dawn!

  • Our journey begins early to catch the morning sun as it warms up the sandstone pueblos of Wupatki National Monument. We will eat lunch in Cameron, taking a look at the Little Colorado River, then make our way to Desert View Watchtower for a long shadowy sunset over the eastern reaches of Grand Canyon National Park. We will return to the historic Cameron Trading Post for dinner and accommodation.

  • Early travel gets us to Marble Canyon for the warm morning light on river bends and deep canyon cuts. With some hope and our lucky ornithology dance we may see a California Condor or two. As the sun rises we’ll stop and shoot some black and white details of the Vermillion Cliffs, then it’s up in elevation to the North Rim. We’ll capture a quaking aspen forest, then retire early.

  • Sunrise finds us with our apertures open at Point Imperial or Cape Royal. The higher elevation of the Grand Canyon’s North Rim adds exceptional depth and layering to our shutter snaps. We’ll shoot at a leisurely pace, grabbing closer compositions as the sun rises. Our return journey to Flagstaff may include some quick photo stops, especially if we spot an attractive cloud or two.

- This itinerary is subject to change due to weather, road conditions, closures, apocalyptic activity, or impromptu photo stops for clouds that look like dragons. -

How a trip like this works…

Our trips are intended to be a bit more than the photo. We’ll do some games at our meet and greet, swap some stories, and share some of our knowledge about the areas we love. Our hope is that you not only leave with some great images, but some laughs and maybe even a memory or two.

We’re social people, and would love to hear from you if you’re interested in taking a trip with us. Reach out anytime. If you’re feeling ready, go ahead and book! We’ll be in touch.

  • In addition to the few trips listed here on the site, we offer day trips and bespoke tours as well. Please reach out if you are looking for a guide or two for your next adventure!

  • History favors the bold! Feel free to follow your heart and book a trip. OR, you can send us a message and we’ll give you a call to answer any questions you might have. That’s probably what my mother would do. And she’s a smart lady.

  • Are any of us really that different?

Well, our trips are. Images have stories behind them. We help make the stories. Our guides curate not just the best photo spots, but the best vibes. Your photos will conjure memories of meals shared, places walked and explored, and knowledge about people and places gained.
